1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Information you provide: We collect names, email addresses, usernames, passwords, and contact or authentication data when you register and use our Services.

Automatically collected: We automatically collect log and usage data (IP address, browser type, device info, usage activity) and device data when you visit our Services.

Sensitive information: We do not process sensitive personal information.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

We process your information to: facilitate account creation and authentication, deliver our Services, respond to inquiries, send administrative information, request feedback, protect our Services, evaluate and improve our Services, identify usage trends, and comply with legal obligations.

3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION?

We share your data only with service providers who help us operate the app:

  • Anthropic — AI processing of your questions and photos
  • Supabase — user authentication and data storage
  • Netlify — website hosting and serverless functions
  • Resend — transactional email delivery

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Our Services use AI provided by Anthropic for natural language processing, content generation, and image analysis. Your questions and photos are processed by Anthropic's AI to generate answers. To opt out of AI processing, delete your account by emailing [email protected]. Note that AI processing is core to our service.

5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is removed from our systems within 30 days.

6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

We implement HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via Supabase, row-level database security, and secure server-side storage of API credentials. No electronic transmission is 100% secure — use our Services within a secure environment.

7. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. By using our Services you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

8. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your state of residence you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, withdraw consent, and opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell data). To exercise your rights, email [email protected].

9. DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

We do not currently respond to Do-Not-Track browser signals as no uniform standard has been finalized.

TradeCode is an AI-powered web application that helps tradespeople including electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and contractors quickly look up code references and get answers to trade code questions based on the NEC, IPC, IMC, and IBC/IRC.

By accessing the Services, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Legal Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY. The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old.

1. OUR SERVICES

The information provided when using the Services is not intended for distribution to or use by any person or entity in any jurisdiction where such distribution would be contrary to law or regulation. Those who access the Services from other locations do so on their own initiative and are solely responsible for compliance with local laws.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

We own or are licensed to use all intellectual property rights in our Services, including source code, databases, functionality, software, designs, text, and graphics ("Content"), as well as all trademarks, service marks, and logos ("Marks"). You authorize us to charge your chosen payment provider for any amounts upon placing your order. All payments shall be in US dollars. We may change prices at any time. We reserve the right to refuse any order placed through the Services.

6. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You may not access or use the Services for any purpose other than that for which we make the Services available. As a user, you agree not to:

  • Systematically retrieve data from the Services to create a collection, database, or directory without written permission
  • Trick, defraud, or mislead us and other users, especially to learn sensitive account information
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Services
  • Use the Services in a manner inconsistent with any applicable laws or regulations
  • Engage in automated use of the system, including scripts, bots, or data mining tools
  • Attempt to impersonate another user or person
  • Upload or transmit viruses, Trojan horses, or other malicious material
  • Use the Services to compete with us or for any revenue-generating commercial enterprise

10. SERVICES MANAGEMENT

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor the Services for violations of these Legal Terms, take appropriate legal action against violators, restrict access to any Contributions, and otherwise manage the Services to protect our rights and property.

Binding Arbitration: If the Parties are unable to resolve a Dispute through informal negotiations, the Dispute will be finally and exclusively resolved by binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), taking place in Lewis and Clark County, Montana.

Restrictions: Any arbitration shall be limited to the Dispute between the Parties individually. No class-action arbitration is permitted.

Exceptions: Disputes seeking to enforce intellectual property rights, allegations of theft or piracy, and claims for injunctive relief are not subject to arbitration.

16. CORRECTIONS

There may be information on the Services that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to change or update information at any time, without prior notice.
